Class Location
It's not too late to join the class! So if you missed it, or have a friend who missed the first week of class, then come check it out. Make sure to get there early enough to deal with check-in and to catch the warm-up which will both have a review of the first week's material and new material to prepare for what we are covering in this week's class.
The Seattle Swing Facebook Group
To help you connect with your fellow classmates, and with other people in the Lindy Hop commumity we have the Seattle Swing Facebook Group you can join. We'll also post the class photo we are taking this week in class. So if you join you'll be able to tag yourself in the photo - that way everyone has another way to remember each other's names!
Download Swing Music
It can help to have some music for practice, even if you don't have a partner you can bounce around to the beat to get a better feel for the rhythm. Of course just having it play in the background while you are doing other things throughout your day can also help it feel more comfortable and familiar. So I've put together a spotify playlist so you can listen to them online, or even download them yourself. You'll find most of the songs we use in class, plus a variety of other tunes that are great for dancing!
Class Review Video
Having taught the Beginning class together many times, Leah & Chris have made some class review videos to help you remember the class material. These videos show the main material covered in class. They may not cover all the moves and concepts worked on, and they certainly do not cover all the details or methods used to teach the material. They are meant as a reminder of what you did in class, helping you practice and refreshing your mental images of the core material between each week of class.
